Wheat, millet, potato including crops harvested in upper Manang villages now the Yartung festival has created the charming environment. In the festival the elder and the youth all make the race of horse. Since the last time been celebrated this festival in comparison to past years in this year with the grand form it was celebrated was informed Tourism Development Committee Manang president Binod Gurung. Tanke Managa, Manang, Khangsar, Bhakra, Nyanwol, Pisangra and Nyahru locals have been celebrating Yartung Festival as President Gurung said. In the lower Manang located headquarter Chame this festival is also celebrated. But the headquarter Chame locals to this festival celebrates in difference of time. Among the 13 VDCs of the districts in the Upper Manang there are 7 VDCs. According to locals this year in Tanke Manang and Mannag VDC with the horse race as Grand Yartung different cultural program were projected.
